The mill
This holiday home is an antique mill of 112 m2 from the 18th century. It has a rustic charm with hand-moulded, irregular tiles and a spring that gurgles out of the rock in the house. Antique tools hang on the walls. The thick stone walls ensure a pleasantly cool climate inside the house, even without air conditioning.
This is not a modern comfort holiday home. Please note that water is constantly running in the house. Please only book if you are happy with this.
On the upper level, the mill offers a spacious living room with five single beds, a bathroom with a small bathtub and a bedroom with a double bed.
On the lower level is the kitchen with washing machine, another bathroom with a small bathtub, an alcove behind a curtain with another double bed and a single bed, a dining area with a wood-burning stove and a stone water basin into which fresh water from the mill's own spring flows directly from the rock. Another single bed is located under the wooden staircase next to the dining table.
In the cooler seasons, we use Nordic duvets instead of the sheets and blankets commonly used in Spain, as the former are more comfortable for many guests.
The warmth of the wood-burning stove means that the mill is cosy even in winter. The mill can accommodate a total of 11 adults in two double beds and seven single beds.
From the basement, a door leads to the large east-facing terrace with a vine-covered pergola. This offers a wonderful view of the wooded valley. From here you can greet the rising sun. In the afternoon, when it gets hot in summer, the terrace is pleasantly shaded and often enjoys a light, cooling breeze.
The pool also promises to cool you down. It is reserved for the guests residing in the mill.
