Do not try to drive through the
small alleys of Algatocín, because
then you will get stuck in the inner village.
You can find the right route by first entering the following destination into Google Maps:

Please note: If you take any other
route, you will get stuck in narrow
lanes. Please make sure you
only take this turn-off with the
artificial turf and the large
illuminated letters ‘Algatocin’.
Once you arrive there, you can enter the location of the house.
After a few hundred metres, this
small road to the left (photo on
the right) leads steeply uphill. This
is the road you need to take. The
first 200 metres are very steep,
then it goes downhill towards a
wall. Before this wall, turn right
between the houses.
The second possibility to turn right leads to the house. It branches off from the road at an acute angle. The angle is so sharp that you cannot turn directly forward here. You can either drive backwards down the hill or continue along the road until you reach a point where you can turn around and drive back.

El Alambique can be reached from Málaga airport in just under two hours by car. The nearest railway station is in Ronda, but buses from Ronda to Algatocín only run once a day.
Carpooling from Málaga to Gaucín, Cortes de la Frontera or Ronda can be found via BlaBlaCar, for example.
If you arrive in Málaga early enough, a practical solution is to take a BlaBlaCar ride to Ronda and then catch the bus that leaves once a day in the afternoon. Here is the timetable.
There is also a bus from Málaga Airport to Ronda daily at 8:45, 9:35, 15:05 and 20:30.

In my experience, it is a good idea to book the bus ticket as soon as you arrive at the airport. Tickets can be sold out 10 minutes before departure. You cannot buy tickets on the bus. If online booking does not work, you can buy the ticket at the counter to the right of the airport exit.
The Avanza bus stop is located diagonally to the right on the road from the airport exit. The journey time from Málaga airport to Estepona is 1h 10min and costs around 10-15€.
